Ethan Miller has been awarded Driver of the Year at Orlando Kart Center, recognition that reflects not only pace and results, but the habits and attitude that have defined his development on and off the track.
Miller, 11, continues to build an impressive résumé at the central Florida venue, including his 2024 Orlando Cup title in Micro ROK. Those around the OKC paddock point to his steady progression in racecraft, his composure in traffic, and a consistent ability to execute clean, decisive passes when it counts.

A major factor in that growth has been coaching and structured driver development. Miller’s foundation was shaped through work with Daniel Callegaris Costa, Head of OKC Driver Training & Development, with a focus on fundamentals—repeatable technique, decision-making under pressure, and building performance through process rather than hype.
Away from the circuit, Miller has also continued learning through the Ultimate Kart Academy (Australia), an online driver education platform created by Derek Jones of Power Republic along with kart racer/videographer Zac King. Jones is also the founder of Power Republic and its karting-focused YouTube presence.

But the Driver of the Year honor isn’t just about what happens between the apexes. In the OKC community, Miller has become known for giving back—taking time to help younger and newer drivers with basics like racing lines, awareness, and clean driving etiquette.
“Driver of the Year means a lot because it’s not only about being fast—it’s about how you race and how you treat people,” Miller said. “I like helping new drivers because I remember what it felt like starting out.”
With the award added to his list of achievements, the focus now shifts to the next stage of Miller’s progression—continuing to sharpen technique, build race IQ, and carry forward the same standard of sportsmanship that earned him recognition in the first place.
