The inaugural William ‘John’ Gilbert Memorial Shield was awarded by the Dubbo Kart Club on the weekend.

Uniquely, the recipient is not decided by the club executive or any special committees, but by the karting community in attendance at the Gold Cup meeting – the drivers, teams, families and volunteers who run the event.

The club proudly announced Cheree Everingham as the first recipient, which was presented by the Gilbert Family.
