The AirTouch Karting Championship will run at The Bend on the Saturday (Sep 13) of the AirTouch 500 Supercars enduro round.
“The Bend have teamed up with KartsportSA to deliver South Australia’s biggest karting event of the year, showcasing grass-roots Motorsport to the large crowds in attendance” Kartsport SA announced.
“All karts are to comply with the KartsportSA technical regulations, only significant difference to KA rules is some of the class weights and that all 2-stroke engine classes run on Dunlop DHH tyres” Ian Williams informed KartSportNews.
Max entries per class is 30. Entries closes September 7. Practice available Friday at an additional cost. Entries can be submitted HERE.
Classes to be contested are:
- Statesman 125 Restricted @ variable weights + restrictors
- Tag Heavy @ 180kg
- Tag Light @ 155kg
- Tag Restricted Heavy @ 180kg
- Tag Restricted Light @ 155kg
- Senior 4 Stroke Heavy @ 170kg
- Senior 4 Stroke Light @ 150kg
- Junior 4 stroke @ 130kg
- Junior Open @ 130kg (KA100 restricted)
- MiniRok restricted @ 100kg
- MiniRok open (unrestricted) @ 110kg
