Hamish Campbell’s Maiden AKC Pole and First KA2 Victory at Landmark 50th Round.
At the historic 50th round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship, Tony Kart Australia proudly celebrated a breakthrough weekend as Hamish Campbell secured his first-ever pole position and captured his maiden victory in the KA2 junior category, a triumph achieved on home soil, delivered with flawless form and fierce determination.

Having competed in 22 national AKC rounds and collecting six podium finishes, Hamish finally broke through at his 23rd championship start. His performance was nothing short of exceptional, marked by composure, relentless pace, and consistency across both dry and wet conditions at Queensland’s Willowbank circuit.
In a fiercely contested final, Hamish seized the lead from the outset and executed a lights-to-flag victory. The win not only marked a personal milestone but also cut into the championship lead held by Liam Carr, with Jye Flynn completing the podium.
Now, with just one round remaining, Campbell stands as the only driver mathematically capable of challenging Carr for the KA2 title, setting the stage for a thrilling final showdown at Round 5 in Coffs Harbour.

This defining result is a testament to Hamish’s evolution within the Tony Kart Australia program, from consistent contender to front-running victor. His maiden win reflects years of perseverance, technical refinement, and unwavering resilience, hallmarks of one of Australia’s most promising young motorsport talents.
There’s little time to rest. Hamish returns to the track this weekend at the City of Melbourne Titles, held at Todd Road in Port Melbourne, where he will again contest KA2.
From there, his international campaign resumes with Round 3 of the Rotax Max Challenge Asia Trophy, hosted at the iconic Bira Kart Circuit in Pattaya, Thailand.

Tony Kart Australia congratulates Hamish on this landmark achievement and extends sincere thanks to all sponsors and supporters who continue to champion his journey. With confidence, momentum, and championship stakes in hand, all eyes now turn to Coffs Harbour—and beyond.
