The Annual Bob Gartside Race Day broke another Ipswich City Dirt Kart Club record with 163 entries – the club’s biggest race day ever – and the 125cc karts had to be broken into A, B and C groupings once again.
Sponsored by Standbroke Beef, the meeting was held up by rain in the middle of the heat 3 races. Upon resumption, all races were complete before 9:15pm when the fireworks started and the night ended with the Dash for Cash!

“We think everyone would agree that Darren Meen in the 125cc Group A Class was on absolute fire. The experience that Darren has is next to none and the way he mentors our Junior Drivers is terrific. For an old boy as he calls himself, has still got it. Those races were a definite sight to see.”
