The Australian Independent Dirt Kart Association has launched a Driver Development Program for its members.
“AIDKA is pleased to have such a program initiated to develop our driving, especially for the junior ranks, but the program can be used for all ages” the organisation posted.
“The Driver Development Program will be available for all clubs to utilise at Education and Practice Days.
The program will be on show in South Australia and Western Australia next week, at Tatiara Karting Club (Friday April 25) and Dirt Trackers Kart Club (Saturday April 26).
AIDKA says the program was initially developed by Loxton Kart Club members who have allowed AIDKA to adopt it for use throughout the association.
“We must thank personally Dean Hembling and Joel Dixon from Loxton who spent many hours developing the program” AIDKA added.
Special guests will be in attendance to help launch the program and educate junior drivers with advice and activities.
James McFadden (current Australia #1 410 Sprintcar Champion) will attend Tatiara on April 25 from 1:00 to 4:30pm. This will be followed by a dinner where James is a guest speaker.
Kaiden Manders (multi WA Speedcar Champion & AUS 360 Sprintcar Champion) and Rhys Cumming (2025 WA State Formula 500 Champion) will attend Dirt Trackers Kart Club on April 26 from 9:00am.
Clubs will soon be issued with the training documentation.
