Wayne Bradley Memorial

from Kev ‘The Noise’ Davies

It was a double-header weekend for me and the first stop on Saturday was the Wayne Bradley Memorial meeting at Dalby Kart Club.

Over 30 drivers attended the meeting and the event kicked off with a two-lap parade with a vacant pole position to commemorate Wayne – see video, below.

The Bradley family members gave a lovely speech at presentation and awarded a perpetual trophy to a driver they felt deserved the award – Cadet 9 driver Laura Channing.

I have to say, it was tremendous to see competitive racing at the Yumborra Raceway again. The TaG classes really stood out with Mark Lees the ever present TaG driver getting some extra competition from drivers like Josh Betts making a return, Freddy Shephard & Tim Bliesner also giving him a good challenge! Even Craig Taylor and Tony Dobson came for a blast! Cadet 9s did well all day too and Archer Watson was too fast for the competition in the feature. Shane Matthews was the stand out performer in the 4SS Medium class while Archy Alcock was out front in the Cadet/Junior race.

“Was great to be in the tower again!” The Noise in his Happy Place.
