This year Karting SA will be offering not only Festival State Cup Series but will also be offering the Star Series which is a new series aimed at high performance karting to prepare competitors for higher level competition.
Below is an outline of dates, classes and formats for both competitions.
Festival State Cup Series
With the first round fast approaching Karting South Australia has established the framework for the series and seek the support of our 5 State clubs. It has been a foundational requirement for the success of the series that format remains structured as agreed by the State Council. We appreciate that our individual clubs have a passion for the series and the event they host, however we have also grown to learn that our competitors appreciate the consistency, and this ultimately helps to build the brand of South Australia premier karting series, all of which ultimately leads to greater entries and greater revenue to our clubs.
We want to see FSC grow. Further information in regard to the event timetables will be posted shortly. Jason Spiteri will be Karting SA’s prime contact in running the FSC event and series.

Cadet 9 will not be offered at FSC 2025. An alternate mini series for Cadet 9 at club days is being proposed with a presentation for series podium winners at the state dinner
There will be different structures for metro rounds (Southern, GKCSA, Barossa) to regional (Whyalla, Mt Gambier). This difference is in response to feedback that the return to a one day program is desired by our entrants while supporting a two day program at regional rounds where the majority are investing in travel.
- Open practice will be provided the day prior to the 1 day events.
- Series Podium – All heats and finals contribute to series points with each competitor dropping their 4 worst races (heats and finals)
- Round Podium – Final only counts.
- Heats – H1 & H2 grid determined by qualifying results. H3, H4 (regional) and Final grid determined by total points of the race meeting to date.
