The Victorian Karters Of The Year for 2024 have been awarded, plus a Life Membership presented at the Karting Victoria Awards Night in Taylors Lakes last night.

Almost 200 people were in attendance at the Taylors Lakes Hotel on Friday evening December 13th for the annual Karting Victoria Awards night to celebrate the end of the Victorian karting year, honouring those that have made great contributions to Karting in Victoria, present the overall podium placegetters in the Golden Power and DPE Victorian Country Series and crown the Karting Victoria Karters Of The Year Award winners.
2024 Karters Of The Year Award winners
- Cadet 9 – Beau Chambers (awarded the Rene & Barney Smith trophy)
- Cadet 12 – Alana Gurney (awarded the Robotham & Johnson trophy)
- Junior – Christian Sasso (awarded the J.C. Maddox trophy)
- Senior – Zach Findlay (awarded the Alan & Raie Choon trophy)
These winners now join an esteemed group of prior winners including Supercar drivers Jamie Whincup, Cameron Waters, Anton Pasquale and Jack Le Brocq.
Karting Victoria Life Membership – Awarded to Ross Harrod
Long time race official Ross Harrod was awarded a Karting Victoria Life Membership for all of his hard work, dedication and sacrifice he has made to the sport of Karting in Victoria over many years.
Other honours included Victorian Country Series organiser Liza Fahey being recognised for her contribution for organising the the Victorian Country Series and Karting Victoria State Secretary Pam Arnett for all of her tireless working behind the scenes of the sport.
Karting Victoria President Phil Lane also acknowledged and thanked all club and race official volunteers who have worked tirelessly and sacrificed so much of their time to allow our sport to keep running over the year.
