Fifth Year of Growth for IKC

by Russell Innes, IKC

Ipswich Kart Club President Scott Cleveland has detailed another hugely successful year for IKC at the Annual General Meeting held recently and also highlighted some of the infrastructure developments, etc, to take place at IKC in 2025.

A largely unchanged committee will head into 2025 with a massive season of racing events to organise and some big expenditure happening on infrastructure. Scott Cleveland remains as President, whilst Pete Sattler moves up from Junior Vice President to Vice President. Sattler’s previous role as Junior Vice President will be taken on by Stephanie Duffy who is also the clubs Girls Race Too Representative. Jody Zaal remains as Secretary whilst Jumpei Morita continues on as Treasurer.

For the 5th year in a row, IKC had an increase in the average entries per event, with an average of 262 per event, whilst the total number of entries across the year was 2358, a slight increase on the previous year and a new season record.

2025 will be a big year of expenditure for IKC with the new Toilet Blocks work to start in mid December which will see 3 new Toilet and Shower Blocks installed and in place for the 1st Round of the 2025 club championship.

During the 1st half of the year, work will also start on the new Race Control Tower, which will accommodate Race Control, Timing, Media, Video Review, Race Secretary’s Office and Stewards Rooms.
