Local drivers have virtually dominated Qualifying on day 1 of the Onsite Rental Group 2024 Queensland Kart Championships, taking pole position in 9 of the 12 classes on offer.

IKC cadets Martin Hsieh and Cooper Folley set the fast time in Cadet 9 and Cadet 12, whilst in Juniors Isaac McNeill was quickest in KA3 Junior Heavy, Jack Szwezcuk was quickest in KA3 Junior Light, thus completing a double for the strong Empire Kartsport team. Liam Carr put in a superb lap to top qualifying in KA2 Junior and break the dominance of the local drivers.
