RINGS A BELL – Kart racer Jack Bell talked with the V8 Sleuth website recently, having gone from karts to race engineering Supercars. Bell enjoyed a first-time win in the main-game in his first season with Matt Payne/Grove Racing. Read more on the V8sleuth website HERE.


CLUB RULES – Geelong Kart Club has made some rule updates to its Club Event Class Structure:

  • In the 4-Stroke class, the minimum weight for the Clubmaxx engines has been reduced 5kgs to 150kgs. The Supermaxx minimum weight remains 175kgs.
  • In Clubman Classes any non KA100 engine has the option to use the Dunlop DFM or the MG Red AZ as used in RKA. All other rules remain the same.

KIWI INTERNATIONALS – KartSport New Zealand is taking applications from drivers to represent NZ in the 2024 FIA Karting Academy Trophy, a one-make international championship for 12-14 year olds. Further information about the championship, entry guidelines and how the application system works can be found HERE.


RETRO DATES – Here are the dates and venues for the Retro Karting Australia series for 2024.


CLUB NEWS – Bundaberg Kart Club has announced its newly elected office bearers for 2024 (see image). “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the outgoing committee members, President Andrew Wagner and Secretary Annette Chung, for their hard work and dedication to the club” BKC posted. “We look forward to a successful term under the new committee’s leadership and encourage all members to show their support.”


MORE PRIZES at CITY OF SYDNEY! – The list of prizes on offer at the City of Sydney Titles continues to grow with news of $1000 being put on the table by Tillotson 225RS Australia. The winners of Tillotson Light and Tillotson Heavy will each receive $350. EVENTS – The Kartsport South Australia calendar for 2024:


TRANSPONDERS – WSK competitors must have their own personal MyLaps transponder for 2024. WSK has organised for MyLaps to attend the first events of the season to provide transponders to those that do not already have one. This will be a complete transponder kit (TR2 MyLaps Kart rechargable transponder, 1 year subscription, charging base and transponder holder) with delivery to take place during the first WSK races in Lonato, Cremona and Franciacorta.


NEW ENDURANCE – The recently formed Endurance Racing Club has released its inaugural race calendar. An eight-race season kicks off with the first round at Combined Districts Kart Club in less than a month’s time, concluding at the same venue in November.


TRACK/CLUB – Upgrades have just commenced at the Gippsland Go Kart Club’s track in Morwell. The club is undertaking kerb replacement plus some levelling works in the runoff areas. The circuit is closed to karts until the work is complete.
