Both Ways at Barrier Reef Titles

from Kev ‘The Noise’ Davies

What a fabulous weekend of racing at Whitsundays Kart Club for their 2022 Great Barrier Reef Titles meeting.

Fifty-two entries were received over two days of racing under the format of practice, qualifying & two heats in the anti-clockwise direction, then heats three, four and final in the clockwise direction on Sunday!

Several WMSC lap records were broken, namely: Cadet 9 (Brock Nolan, 46.380) and Cadet 12 (Cruz Patroni, 45.252) which was then broken again (Hooper Urquhart, 45.172)!

There were plenty of prizes handed out thanks to great sponsors Karting Australia, Patrizicorse, St George Kart Centre, Rev Kart Sports, Sitefix Solutions, Whitsundays Karts & Parts, Norwell Complex & Bendigo Bank.

Prizes included tyre giveaways, Norwell karts-to-cars training certificates, Rev Kart Sports gift vouchers, an esky packed with goodies hats/bottles/stubby coolers/screw driver sets.
