Preview: Graham Acreman Memorial / TaG Titles

After a two month mid-year break, the Ipswich Kart Club Championship returns this Saturday (August 6) with the running of the Graham Acreman Memorial TAG Titles. Australia’s premier club racing facility once again has attracted a massive entry list of 244 competitors and the TAG drivers will be racing for the TAG Light and TAG Heavy Graham Acreman Memorial perpetual trophies.

Defending Champions, Hamish Fitzsimmons (TAG Light) and Chris Williams (TAG Heavy) are both entered to try and repeat, but both fields are stacked full of talent and have 30 and 21 entries respectively.

Fitzsimmons’ main challengers in TAG Light will come from Jace Matthews, Brent Reading, Tyler Greenbury, Thomas Gallagher, Declan Matthews, Zane Rinaldi and Lucas O’Connor, whilst Williams’ main challengers in TAG Heavy will be Brock Plumb, Sam Houston, Jared Neinert, Marc Tulloch, Chris Farkas and Michael Patrizi.

Across the other classes contesting round 5 of the IKC Champinship, Cadet 12 once again has a huge field of 36 entries, KA4 Junior Light has 21 entries, Cadet 9 has 18 entries, the 4SS Juniors has 14 entries and the Cadet P class has 11 entries and continues to provide a fantastic experience for these new kids just starting their racing journey.

This Round of the IKC Championships again includes the popular IKC Clubday Challenge Program, which will see Group winners acknowledged in Cadet 9, Cadet 12, KA4 Junior Light, TAG Restricted Light, TAG Restricted Medium and TAG Restricted Masters.
