Another Podium for Jack

Jack Jenkins returned to the Golden Power Series over the weekend at his home track of the Eastern Lions Kart Club. Jenkins, the round one winner of the series and the current championship leader was looking to continue his stellar start to the 2022 season. Jack, once again running out of the Pulse Tuning camp, was up against a large field of near thirty drivers and knew he had to dig deep to be up the front of the field.

Jenkins hit the track for qualifying on Saturday morning and was looking to get the best out of his package. The Pulse Tuning driver was immediately able to put himself inside the top ten and was into the top five quickly after this. Jack was continuing his pace as the session went on and was right in the front battle for pole position. Jenkins did a superb job and was able to put himself in fourth position overall and on the outside of the second row.

Jack was looking to move up the field in heat one on Saturday afternoon but knew a clean get away from the outside was crucial. Jenkins was able to get a smooth get away and slot into fourth spot in the opening lap. Jack was able to make a move at the half way point of the heat, moving him up to third spot overall. Jenkins chased after the top two drivers and was able to come home in a credible third spot overall!

Jenkins had his second and final heat race of Saturday, once again starting out of position four. The Pulse Tuning supported entry got another clean start settling into fourth position at the end of the opening lap. Jack put in a superb open half of the race moving into the race lead by lap three and was in a battle with Boston Gillanders and Lucas Costanzo. After some great battles and awesome driving by Jenkins, the young driver was able to come home in second position only a tenth off race victory!

Jenkins had moved to a front row starting position by heat three and was looking to win the battle off the start. Jack was able to get a clean get away and led out of the opening lap. Jenkins was able to get a break mid race but had Costanzo and Gillanders chasing after him. All three drivers closed up to be in the battle for the lead, with Jack having to fight to hang out to the front spot. Jenkins was able to come home in position one putting him off the front row once again for the all-important final!

Jack was off the front row and looking to contend for his second round win of the 2022 Golden Power Series. Jenkins slotted into position one at the end of the opening lap and was right in the battle for victory swapping places multiple times in the lead group. As the race went on the pressure built and Jack proved his was up to racing with the best of them. The Pulse Tuning driver dug deep and was able to cross the line in second position overall! Jenkins collected his fourth consecutive podium in the series!

Jack’s parents spoke post weekend on their young sons driving and racing! “We’re super proud of Jack’s achievements this weekend. He displayed smart, mature driving in a very competitive front pack. His persistence really did pay off”!

Jenkins will be back to contested the fifth round of the Golden Power Series at the Rochester Kart Club in September!
