Targett’s Top Ten

Oscar Target achieved his best result in Europe to date, carding a strong top ten finish in the KZ2 final at Cremona, Italy, overnight.

Competing in the second and final round of the European Championship, Targett started the final 12th and crossed the line 8th, but dropped to ninth after a nosecone penalty was applied. He’d earlier qualified his factory Birel ART P19 before taking a string of strong finishes in the heat races, other than one where an incident at the start dropped him to 23rd before recovering to 12th.

Henry Johnstone also competed with Birel ART in KZ2, but was not able to transfer to the final despite a couple of decent heats.

Even though he had some decent heat results, Harry Arnett described his weekend in Academy Trophy as tough. “Had some good heat results but unfortunately in the final had some bad luck” he posted on Facebook. “Had a few disadvantages with my height and all the rubber that was down on the track.”

Josh Fife contested the KZ category with KR Motorsport (Kart Republic) and finished the final 22nd.
