Rotax Pro Tour promoter RaceMax has revealed there have been “high levels of opposition” to its proposed race format for the Ipswich round next month, where random grid draws were to be used instead of timed qualifying.
“We have listened and can advise the following format for Round 3 at Ipswich” – see the image below:
The original format would have resulted in a lot of passing and a great spectacle to watch, but would likely have seen a bit of gear get torn up as well.
