Karts Make First Official Lap at AGP

23 young karters were the first to drive an official lap of the re-configured Albert Park F1 circuit when they took to the track early this morning.

The kids, a mixture of Karting Australia licenced juniors and cadets, followed former F1 racer (and Clerk of the Course for the Grand Prix) Tim Schenken who was driving a Maserati 250F.

The karters were led by Australia’s FIA Karting Championship Academy Trophy representative Harry Arnett, female driver Joanne Ciconte and Rochester Kart Club’s Tanner Peters.
