Gippsland’s March Race Day

The March race day for Gippsland Go Kart Club was run last Saturday afternoon at the Tramway Park circuit in Morwell.

For this twilight round, all classes enjoyed five races (one more than usual); three heats, pre-final and final but all points determining the overall results for the day.

Being run on a Saturday, a few of the locals could not take part, however extra entries came from other clubs, such as Oakleigh where the circuit is currently unable to be used.

Former HQ and Production Car racer David Wood enjoyed his first time at the Morwell track, but was the only entry in the Vic Combined Light class. Conversely, there were enough Cadet 9 and Cadet 12 drivers for each class to have its own track time.

Next race day at Morwell is Sunday, May 1st (no club day in April).
