Ipswich Kart Club has been acknowledged as the Sporting Organisation of the Year in the annual Ipswich City Sports Awards on Friday the 29th of October.
Amongst a field of strong sporting organisations, IKC was recognised for its strong contribution to attracting visitors to the Ipswich region via its significant race entry numbers and its commitment to Junior Development via the Come and Try Day program and the subsequent increase in memberships.
IKC was also recognised for its large infrastructure investment program over the last 2 years which has seen the installation of a new toilet block and shower facility, a multi camera track and security system, new pit lighting, new security gates and the install of a sewerage treatment and recycle plant.

Many members of course contribute to the success of a sporting organisation, so Ipswich Kart Club would like to acknowledge the fantastic support and commitment from their membership over the challenging last 2 years, which has helped the club achieve this recognition and honour.
