Oscar Targett for Richard Mille Shootout

Queensland karter Oscar Targett has been selected as the Australian representative to the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy for 2021.

Targett follows last year’s candidate Hugh Barter, who ended up winning the 2020 edition and is now in France driving open wheelers.

“Oscar will fly to Europe in the coming weeks to compete against other pilots of BirelART products from all over the globe to potentially be selected to compete with the MP Motorsport squad in the Spanish F4 championship” local BirelART importer Patrizicorse posted on social media.

“Last year’s Academy winner was Patrizicorse’s own driver @hughbarterracing, who is now kicking goals in his car racing career in Europe!

“The Richard Mille Young Talent Academy opens many doors to the future. Thanks to the involvement of Birel ART’s worldwide distribution network, the operation offers twenty or so young kart drivers from around the world the opportunity to try their luck in single-seater cars for free.”
