New Date for City of Melbourne & SA Championship

The City of Melbourne Titles and the South Australian Kart Championship have been rescheduled due to issues around COVID restrictions.

The new dates are included in a joint Karting Australia/Karting Victoria/Karting South Australia media release, below.

The annual City of Melbourne Titles will now take place in October.

Due to the ongoing restrictions caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, the City of Melbourne Titles has been rescheduled.

Karting Victoria and the Go-Kart Club of Victoria advises that the City of Melbourne Titles will now be held on October 22-24.

To avoid two major karting events in adjacent states being contested on the same date, the SA Kart Championship, to be hosted by the Go-Kart Club of SA, will now be contested in Murray Bridge on October 8-10.

The reorganising of other events of national significance, including the remaining two rounds of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol EDGE, will be advised by Karting Australia once further details surrounding the current restrictions are confirmed by the respective governments.

Karting Australia is working closely with all State Associations and Clubs that are affected by the current lockdowns to get the wheels turning on tracks as soon as possible and ensure events return in the timeliest manner.
