Temporary Tyre Rule Change

Karting Australia has advised its licence holders of a temporary change to the permitted wet weather tyres in the Cadet 9, Cadet 12 and KA4 classes, allowing various tyres from Vega, Dunlop, MG and Mojo to be used alongside the regulated Bridgestone.

The ruling covers all KA events, except for National Championship rounds.

The KA statement is below.

Due to freight delays caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic, there is currently a shortage of wet weather tyres used in the Cadet 9, Cadet 12 and KA4 Classes in Australia.
