Aussies Overseas

A couple of Aussies have been performing well overseas the past week. Griffin Peebles celebrated his final event in the Mini class with a podium at the latest Italian Championship round, while Lachlan Robinson just missed the podium at the second round of the BNL Karting Series in Belgium.

Driving KR/IAME with the Team Driver team, Griffin qualified 12th in the Mini class at the Italian Championship round at La Conca. He had moved up to 5th overall after the heats races, then scored a third and fifth in the two Finals.

“(It was) a great way to finish off my last race in the Mini Kart with a P3 in Final 1” he posted on social media. “Huge thanks to my team @teamdriver.official and my engine supplier @team_gk__official and my coach @sk_driver_coaching who have always had my back.”

Lachlan Robinson

Lachlan Robinson contested the second round of the BNL Karting Series at Mareimbourg, Belgium, and ended the event fourth overall after an intense weekend.

In what was the first time he’d ever driven the circuit, Lachlan scored two seconds and a third in the heats, followed by P3 in the pre-final and 4th in the Final. With one round to go, he currently sits third in the BNL Championship, just one point off second and 14 from first.
