It was mixed fortunes for the Aussies in the Finals at the WSK Champions Cup round at Adria on the weekend.
Mini driver Griffin Peebles scored a strong 7th in the Final, while James Wharton, who was a solid top ten contender throughout the meeting, DNFd the Final and was classified 33rd.
After qualifying fourth (of 118!), Peebles won a heat and almost captured the last one as well. Griffin’s dad told KartSportNews he was “a little bit flat because he had speed for a podium, but being rammed from behind whilst leading into the final corner of final heat cost us big time and a good starting position for the prefinal.”
