The Victorian karting season kicked off with the traditional two-round Junior Top Guns at Oakleigh on Friday and Saturday afternoon/evening.
Just on 120 entries – the best numbers for several years – contested the eight classes, including a number of interstaters who rolled the dice that they’d still be able to return home afterwards!
As usual, the event experienced Melbourne’s mixed weather, with dry races, wet races and everything in between.
Storms hit the venue at the conclusion of racing on Friday night. Unfortunately, several teams and families found their tents destroyed by the overnight winds when they returned for Saturday’s round.
