A six-round Club Championship plus two other feature events will make up the calendar of club racing at Ipswich Kart Club in 2021.

After hosting Round 1 of the Australian Karting Championships on the 22nd and 23rd of January, the IKC Club Championship gets underway with Round 1 on February 6th.

Round 2 of the IKC Club Championships will be on March 6th and will double as the IKC TAG Titles for TAG Light and TAG Heavy. As the feature classes, both TAG Light and TAG Heavy will have qualifying and extra laps.

The huge 4SS competitor base in South East Queensland will be out in force for Round 3 of the IKC Club Championship on the 1st of May, which will double as the 4SS Titles. The 4SS Senior Classes, 4SS Junior and 4SS Cadets will all be feature classes with qualifying and extra laps.

On the weekend of the 5th and 6th of June, IKC will be holding an Enduro Round. This will be a non club championship round with format and classes yet to be determined.

The 4th Round of the IKC Championship will be on the 31st of July and the Feature Classes will be TAG Restricted, who will have a qualifying format and will have extra laps.

The popular IKC Cadet Titles will be the Feature for the 6th and final round of the IKC Championship on the 30th of October. The Cadet 9 and Cadet 12 fields will have qualifying and extra laps.

Prominent IKC members, Maureen and Alf Capri will once again be honoured with the annual Capri Cup held on the 4th and 5th of December, with the IKC Championship Presentations and end of year dinner held on the Saturday evening.

IKC will continue to run random grids for each club championship round and there will be a variety of formats considered. Some club championship rounds may include night racing, so will finish later in the evening on the Saturday night and there will also be consideration of at least a couple of club rounds being conducted over the Saturday and Sunday with a social event on the Saturday evening.

Track configurations/direction of racing are also to be determined, but IKC certainly plans to use at least 2 or 3 approved track configurations during the club championship rounds, including reverse direction.
