Records Set at Archerville Classic

A sensational race weekend was had by all at the first Tasmanian State Cup, the Cowbiz supported Archerville Classic, conducted over 6 grueling heats with the winners determined on points. Across all classes, racing was of the highest calibre with wheel to wheel action throughout the field.

The Launceston track was at its very best for the weekend with nine of the ten classes setting new lap records in the anti clockwise direction. Chad Edwards set the time in Cadet 9 followed by Elliot Bellars (KA4 Junior Light), Harrison Sellars (KA4 Junior Heavy), Zevie Eisentraaut (TaG Restricted Light), Brad Danrell (TaG Restricted Medium), Allan Sheahen (TaG Restricted Heavy), Andrew Walter (KA4 Masters), Fletcher Bellars (KA3 Senior Light) and Nathan Zuj (KA3 Senior Medium).

The club also handed out their 2020 Club Championship trophies for each class that competed in all three racing meeting to date in 2020 with the winners being Chad Edwards Cadet 9, George MacMillian Cadet 12, Elliot Bellars KA4 Junior Light, Patrick Johnson KA4 Junior Heavy, Jorja Edwards KA3 Junior, Shane Burdon KA4 Masters, Brodie Sward TaG Restricted Light, Declan Sherburd TaG Restricted Medium, Ethan Wyllie Ka3 Senior Light and Alastair Lee KA3 Senior Medium.

Driver of the day awards went the way of Ayden McCullagh (Cadets), Joshua Faux (Juniors), Alfred Walters (Seniors). Jonathan McDonald took out the Sid Goss Memorial award.
