After struggling for ultimate pace throughout the week, a Sunday morning engine change reversed the fortunes of Griffin Peebles at the Italian Championship round at Sarno on the weekend.
Competing on Parolin with the AV Racing Team, Griffin qualified 33rd in the Mini class, which was only 0.4s off the front row. He carded 11th and 15th from grid 22 in his two heats.
Ranked 17th after the heats, he enjoyed two strong finals after the engine change.

In Final 1 he was up to 12th after the first lap but an incident dropped him to 20th, finally finishing where he started in 17th.
Griffin set fastest lap in Final 2 on his way to 9th place.
