press release
The Board of KNSW today confirmed that it will resume full racing from 01 July 2020. The Board’s decision is in line with the NSW Government’s Announcement (on June 10), that full community sporting competitions can recommence from 01 July 2020.
For KNSW Sanctioned Events, the only change to current racing under KNSW’s Guidelines to Reduce Covid-19 Risk at KNSW Sanctioned Events, will be the increased number of participants, and potentially spectators, permitted at the track.
Ms Alsters, Chair of KNSW said “All of the hard work and execution of CovidSAFE Plans at the KNSW Club level will make the transition to full racing so much easier”.
There of course will still be strict requirements for social distancing and good hand hygiene practices at the track and these will be maintained via compliance with KNSW’s Guidelines to Reduce Covid-19 Risk at KNSW Sanctioned Events. A new version specifically for post 01 July 2020 racing will be released to ensure all requirements for both ACT and NSW are met.
All KNSW Sanctioned Events to be conducted in NSW up until 30 June 2020 will still need to adhere to requirements relating to gatherings in groups of no more than 10.
Karting (New South Wales) Inc confirmed it is a registered COVID Safe business with the New South Wales Government.
