IAME Series Australia Events in 2020

An IAME X30 feature class will run at five selected events in Victoria in 2020.

The class will be promoted through the official IAME Series world-wide platform to fit in with IAME’s world-wide marketing strategy.

The points from each event will be tallied by Remo Racing to determine an overall winner.

“Its been a decade since there’s been a dedicated series of X30 Light class in Victoria as a stand alone class” Remo Racing posted on social media.

This X30 Senior Light class will run at 162kg on the MG Yellow tyre.

The first event is the Country Series round at Cobden on March 28-29, followed by the Victorian Kart Championship (Oakleigh, April), Metro Series round (Geelong, May) and the City of Melbourne Titles (Todd Rd, August). Interestingly, it wraps up at the traditional juniors-only Junior Sprint Classic at Puckapunyal in October.

Remo Racing has fielded questions from a number of karters about why this is so:

“To help celebrate the Eastern Lions Kart Club’s 40th anniversary of the Junior Sprint Classic, the club was trying to work out how they could engage these high calibre drivers and get them at the race meeting to present the trophies to these young karters at this special occasion of its 40th anniversary.

“When the club heard about the class they jumped at the opportunity of inviting the X30 Feature class to be part of the Junior Sprint Classic event.

“For the ELKC it did two things;

1) It gets these high calibre drivers at the event where these young kids can look up to their idols and watch them actually compete.

2) At the end of the race meeting these X30 competitors present the trophies to these young kids.”
