2018 Australian KZ2 Champion Aaron Cameron has placed 5th in Macau on the weekend.
Driving JC Kart with Jon Targett on the spanners, the Aussie qualified 9th and sacrificed a pre-final result to ensure rubber for the final.
“Our Pre-Final wasn’t great, running round on tyres with no dots left us starting the final in 12th” he explained on social media.
“Went big on the first lap with a good start then sent it down the inside at the first hairpin. Finished the first lap in p6.
“The setup changes we made to the kart earlier in the day really payed off in be final being one of the fastest karts out there for most of the race. Got to 3rd for a corner before contact put me back to 4th. Went back to 5th with 2 laps to go.
“Super happy with the result we managed with the JC Kart. Was first of the non-factory drivers with a few behind me as well.”
Ryan MacMillan experienced his first overseas race in Macau and finished a commendable 11th in the final of Mini ROK.
