Nelson Piquet Jnr is yet another F1 racer to launch their own brand of kart.
The Miami-based Piquet Kart is manufactured in Brazil by MetalMoro and will be promoted at the upcoming SKUSA SuperNationals. However, it won’t be racing at the Vegas event.
Piquet (pronounced pea-kay) Kart is the sport’s newest indoor and outdoor rental kart provider with petrol and electric models.

Veteran racer Zack Skolnick is excited to announce a new partnership with former Formula 1 driver Nelson Piquet Jr. and international kart team Piquet Sports owner Carlos Iaconelli to form Piquet Kart, the sport’s newest indoor and outdoor rental kart provider. Skolnick will hit the ground running to promote the new affordable brand to the karting community and he is planning several efforts to introduce Piquet Kart to track owners and racers, including the upcoming Superkarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas on the November 20-24 weekend.
“I’m thrilled to be involved with this new collaboration,” offered Skolnick, a 29-year-old serial entrepreneur who resides in Miami, Florida. “Our karts are the most affordable on the market and we look forward to seeing our products being used all over the world.”
Indoor and outdoor kart tracks are continuing to pop up all over North America and Skolnick, Piquet Kart founder and Chief Marketing Officer, identified a demand for an affordable but quality rental kart in both gas and electric format to offer to track owners. Very similar to what he did with his former company – Driven Steering Wheels – which quickly grew to 180 dealers in just three years before being acquired by MOMO Italy, Skolnick aims to grow relationships and unparalleled service with each of his new track clients.
Piquet Kart is a collaboration with rental kart manufacturer MetalMoro out of Brazil, which dominates the rental karting market in South America. They also have a unique partnership with Blue Shock Race out of Latvia, to supply the electric components.
“Why must quality rental karts, both gas and electric, be so expensive,” Skolnick questioned. “This was the problem I wanted to solve by forming Piquet Kart. With an extensive 30-plus years of rental kart manufacturing experience, we formed a strategic alliance with the #1 rental kart manufacturer in South America, MetalMoro, who are based in Brazil. Wait until you drive our karts – they have handling characteristics of actual race karts! We are proud to offer the lightest gas and electric kart on the market.”
“I have been racing karts since a young age of eight and driven many rental karts,” added Nelson Piquet Jr., who will be actively involved in the promotion of the brand. “Piquet Kart offers the best in durability and performance at an amazing price point! I am very excited for this venture.”
Piquet Karts has several events and tradeshows planned for the next few months, and next week, they’ll be attending a pair of major events. They’ll be displaying their electric model at the International IAAPA Amusements Trade Show in Orlando, Florida from November 19-22, and will also be trackside at one of the sport’s largest events – the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals – at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on November 20-24 to promote their gas-powered models. Skolnick will be attending both events and he is excited to have the opportunity to meet potential customers and to discuss the merits of the Piquet Kart product line.
