SEK To Trial Different Engine Types

The Sportsman Enduro Karting (SEK) Championship will conduct a trial at it’s fifth round at Wollongong on August 24.

SEK will introduce a single-engine class as well as accept twin-engined Briggs & Stratton powered karts.

“Traditionally, SEK has only been open to those who drive a twin Honda engined kart” the organisation stated on its website.

“With the 24 Hours Of Eastern Creek event approaching, it was decided that the introduction of both Twin Briggs & Stratton and Single Engines would open up the event to more karters.

“The SEK Committee has recognised that one of Karting’s biggest challenges should be made available to as many people as possible, and whilst opening up the 24 Hour Race, it was also decided to open up the 7 Hours Of Wollongong event as well.”

Racers who have a sealed 4-stroke single engined kart or a twin Briggs & Stratton setup should contact SEK and experience what the Sportsman Enduro Karting Championship is all about.
