Warwick Rnd 4 Wrap + Pro Tour Shakedown

from WKC

We had a good weekend again at WKC for Club Championship round 4. We had 76 karters come up to amazing racing weather!

Our Senior Shakedown meet meant we had some very fast racing from the DD2 guys and we had a great turn out of 4SS Seniors and Juniors. Overall a great weekend of racing and lots of fun in the pits.

There were two lap records broken on the weekend, one in Cadet 9 by Toby Musico with a time of 48.453 and the other in 4SS Senior by Brynn Stewart with a time of 49.837, well done to both of you.

A big thanks go out to the officials for the weekend, and a big thanks to all our volunteers. Lee Hardacre did a fantastic job in lights! The best Grid Marshall in the land Linda Greenhalgh was amazing as ever, Belinda Cooper again looked after the amenities, Erin Sell for controlling the grid and practice on Saturday, Lisa Owen, Tara Payne and Belinda and Amelia did an amazing job for their first time in timing, Luke O’Dea made mouth watering beef and gravy rolls for our Saturday night dinner and Mathew Sell helped with all the serving up. Of course a huge thanks to all our committee members who always keep things running smoothly. If I have left anyone out I sincerely apologise, we are so lucky to have so many members help out.

Our next meet is our Round of Pro Tour and we are looking forward to showing off our amazing club to all our visitors. We have lots of volunteers who have already put up their hands to help out but if anyone else is interested in helping our club or gaining your club championship points than feel free to contact us.
