NEW OLD NSW – Karting NSW has revealed a new logo and website to identify what it calls the ‘original’ and ‘real’ KNSW. “Our new logo makes a great statement as to what and who we are. A little from the past and a lot from the future is what I see” states Director of Marketing, Sponsorship and PR, Andy Ticehurst. Karting (NSW ) Inc was born in 1987. “Our new logo represents a fresh and clearly identifiable brand. A brand that is moving forward, whilst respecting the traditions of the generations of karters that have come before us. We look forward to bringing karting back to karters!” The new look website: kartsportnsw.com.au

CARDINIA UPDATE – A small peek at the latest artist impression of Cardinia Motor Recreation & Education Complex in Victoria has been doing the rounds, though we’re not sure how they’re going to fit all the facilities listed below inside the available land. “This is still a draft however our consultants are working towards having a final site plan ready late February. Not all proposed facilities can be seen within this image so we have listed them below:

1. 3.6km FIA Grade 2/FIM Grade B race track
2. Drag straight (length TBA)
3. 1.4km FIA Rallycross Circuit
4. Pit building inc. car garages, corporate suites, education classrooms, medical centre and helipad

AIDKA CALENDAR – The Australian Independent Dirt Kart Association’s  2019 Race Calendar is now available on AIDKA website. Go HERE to download it. AIDKA’s 2019 Licencing will be available mid January.


6:2 IN FAVOUR – Bathurst Councillors say a recent decision regarding the new kart track in the region was based on ‘common sense’. The WesternAdvocate reports that Councillors met at an extraordinary meeting of Bathurst Regional Council on Wednesday, where they had to decide whether or not to approve modifications, one of which would extend the track to international standard length.  Full story on the WesternAdvocate website HERE.

He would also would like to thank all who contributed their time, effort and expertise to get this project underway. He understands that there’s a long road ahead, but with the support of karters and appropriate bodies this project should be up and running in the very near future.”


POWER DESIGNERS – Golden Power Series organisers have put the call out to creative karters to design a new logo for 2019. The winning design will feature across social media, the Karting Victoria website, banners, race programs and this year, on T-shirts. The winning designer will receive the very first 2019 GPS T-Shirt plus free entry to a GPS round of their choice. Entries must be submitted via Facebook Messenger to the Golden Power Series Facebook page before 12pm on Thursday, December 27.


BREAK DATES – The Remo Racing warehouse will be closed for the Christmas Holidays on the following dates:

  • Closes – Monday 24th December 2018
  • Reopens – Monday 14th January 2019.

IN NEW HANDS – Troy Boldy is the new owner of the Wollongong Kart Track at Kembla Grange, NSW. Boldy, who runs AKRA, gets the keys to the facility this Friday, December 28. “It’s been a long time in the making” he posted on social media. “As some people will be aware we have been working on this project for some years now. A lot of factors had to fall into place.” Boldy admitted the facility needs some TLC and track repairs. A fleet of new Sodi rental karts have been sourced and he will soon be hiring staff. There will be a Grand Re-Opening on Saturday January 5 with a free BBQ from midday. “Now with our own track we can run meetings how we want without any interference…”


CONTROL FUEL – Sunoco Race Fuels will be the official fuel supplier of ROK Cup USA and all ROK Cup events throughout North America in 2019. Along with Sunoco branding at each event, Sunoco Race Fuels have also put forth a contingency package of $15,000US for ROK Cup events. The spec fuel will be Sunoco Supreme and has been tested by ROK officials and engine builders. “We understand that our season starts in less than a month, and with the holidays nearly upon us and the deal completed just yesterday, we wanted to get this news out to our customers, teams, drivers and engine builders as early as possible” said ROK’s Garett Potter.
