AKA Ltd Call Special Meeting About Karting NSW

Australian Karting Association Ltd has called a special meeting regarding whether or not Karting NSW should be expelled from the Association.

Karting NSW is in the process of disaffiliating from Karting Australia, but is still a beneficiary of AKA’s Track Development Fund.

Following receipt of a formal request from its affiliated State Associations (Ordinary Members) under Section 249D of the Corporations Act 2001, the Australian Karting Association Ltd (AKA Ltd), has convened a Special General Meeting (SGM) to be held on Monday, 21 January 2019.

AKA Ltd yesterday (20 December 2018) distributed official notice of the SGM to the affiliated State Associations, at which two resolutions will be considered.

The resolutions are; whether the conduct of Karting NSW through its Board, agents, and/or representatives constitutes misbehaviour or has resulted in Karting NSW as not being fit and proper to be a member of AKA Ltd and, whether or not Karting NSW should be expelled as an Ordinary Member of AKA Ltd.
