There was a good mix of local and out of town drivers for the State Championship Shakedown, giving the drivers that turned out a good chance to fine tune their karts before this coming weekends South Australian Karting State Titles.
Jett Zerk in Cadet 9 took a clean sweep with Jarvis and Lucinda Jones having a good battle for second and third.
In KA4 Junior Light, Brayden Stewart won every race to take the win. Cadence Florentinus came second and Rhys Bartlett finished third.
The KA3 Senior Light joined Tag 125 Heavy for some good racing, with Cooper Jones convincingly winning KA3 and Ashlyn Clift second. In TaG, Danny Jones only just beat Scott Harper on count back in a close race where both drivers were equal on points.
James Piszcyk won Cadet 12s and showed he would be in the title fight next weekend. Second was Darcy Heyne and third Anthony Capobianco.
In TaG 125 Restricted Light there was some good racing. Sparky Marquis was first with local drivers Neil Schmidt and Luke Clee second and third.

All the drivers enjoyed the race meet and comments regarding track and facilities were very positive.
There has been a lot of work by club members and volunteers in preparation of this week’s State Title round. This will be a great weekend for spectators or those interested in taking up Karting. There will be Karters from all over the country and from ages of 7 to 50.
Practice starts on Friday the 13th, then racing on Saturday and Finals on Sunday the 15th of July. Canteen facilities will be available. I hope to see you there.
