Cash for F100

A feature class for Formula 100 will race for cash prizes at Geelong on August 11.

The high-revving 100cc category will race at 158kg with a $500 cash prize split across the top three, plus “other mystery prizes” to be advised by the club.

The meeting, which is part of Geelong’s 2024 club series, will race on the traditional “short” version of the track in the normal anti-clockwise direction.

Competitors must use pre-2000 reed or rotary valve air-cooled engines and carburettors under the RKA 2024 guidelines. While it’s preferable chassis are also pre-2000, chassis of any year can be used.

  • Dry – MG Yellow SM or SM2. 1 set for event and will be marked.
  • Wet – White SW or SW2, Dunlop KT14W13 or LeCont SV1.

Fuel is restricted to an octane no greater than Ron 102, Oxygen content of 3.80% and must be either commercially available or fuels which have been developed specifically for motorsport.

Race format:

  • 1 x 5 min time trial.
  • 2 x 10 lap heats. Starting heats from where qualified.
  • 1 x 12 Lap Pre Final.
  • 1 x 15 Lap Final. Final results are decided from results of final only.
