Another brilliant weekend of racing, this time in the Darling Downs town of Warwick for the Retro Karting Australia Queensland State Championship.

It was smaller numbers, bigger fun! Saturday’s practice, qualifying and two heats were nicely divided by having the guests from the Funkart Global club running practice sessions. This gave the drivers time between heats to make any changes.

Those larrikins in the Clubman Super Heavy class requested to be referred to as Italians all weekend. Well, “ask The Noise and The Noise will oblige”!!

A twist in the finals saw the rain come down for two of them, producing extraordinary results which even got The Noise excited!

Brent Dickson won an entertaining Super Heavy final that saw just 2 karts make it to the end after a mid-race drop of rain
On a different tyre strategy for the conditions, Brock Plumb took a massive win over father Glen in the Clubman Heavy final
