Race Format Tweak for ’23 Vic Country Series

A change to the race format will be put in place for the 2023 Victorian Country Series.

Series co-ordinator Liz Fahey revealed the first five rounds will run three heats and a final, but the last round at Ballarat will feature four heats and a final. The progressive grid used in 2022 will continue.

This and more is included in the end-of-series message, below.

Thank you to the following people for their invaluable assistance.

I would like to thank my family, Laura and Max and also friends Beau and Kirsty for their support this year.

This year we had Russell White as an independent as the Treasurer and Sabrina Luciani doing the comms, social media and website.

Over the year I have also looked to Paul Feely for support and advice. Paul also organises the Eftpos Machine for the VCS merchandise through the Bendigo Bank.

Jenny King has been the grid marshal at many rounds and has also managed the selling of the VCS merchandise.

Toni Solomon has assisted with the collection of names and emails for the DPE vouchers plus assisted with the selling of VCS merchandise and the allocation of engine tags.

Darren Isaac of Darrens Sportography has been the official VCS photographer and as a result we have a large bank of photos to go back through and enjoy from each round.

Sheron Cook committed to every round this year with the timing for the series together with other officials L’Argent Wilson, Gail Cherry, Neville Tapscott, Russell White, Anthony Taylor, Russell Cherry, Paul Feely and Lisa Jones. Also, Clerk of the Course: Ross Harrod, Phil Lane, Chris Place, Trevor Crane and Glenn Wall. We also had the assistance of Chief Scrutineer: Gary Haythorpe, plus many other club officials who assisted at the rounds and we cant thank you all enough.

This year Natalie Herbertson and Zoe Bannan have provided the First Aid, please thank these ladies as they have been amazing. PS: If you know of someone that might be interested in being the First Aid in 2023 please have them to contact me (my details are below)

Behind the Mic we’ve had the wonderful Andrew Hayes from AHR Media and I am pleased to state Andrew will be back on board in 2023.
