Lismore Opens with Double Direction

And so it begins!!

The 2022 karting season has kicked off in fine style with almost 60 drivers fronting for Lismore’s Double Direction weekend.

It was the club championship round 1 on Saturday in the reverse direction (which is the first time this has been done since being a bitumen track!) then championship round 2 on Sunday running the usual way.

I was there on the Saturday and some fantastic racing was witnessed in the new direction. Visitors from Ipswich, Coffs Harbour and even further afield made it an interesting spectacle.

Every driver enjoyed the reverse direction which seemed to flow perfectly as a race track. Now, on to next weekend where Ipswich City Dirt Karts kick off the 2022 season.
