This weekend’s Queensland Kart Championship at Emerald has been postponed due to the snap lockdowns that are about to come into effect in parts of the state.
Karting Australia has issued the following statement.
STATEMENT – QUEENSLAND KART CHAMPIONSHIP
The Queensland Premier has today announced that as of 6pm on Tuesday 29 June, 2021 that the South East Queensland and Townsville regions will go into lockdown for three days.
As a result, no karting activities can take place in these regions until the end of this lockdown or until further advice is provided.
The Queensland Kart Championship, that is scheduled for this weekend at the Emerald Karting Club has been postponed. As per General Rules, Chapter 1, Rule 25 b) All Competitors will be re-entered into the re-scheduled Meeting unless a written request for their entry fee is emailed to email@example.com within 14 days.
