Name Change for Engine Builder

Long-time engine builder and karting identity Brett Arnett has been forced to change the name of his karting business.

Having traded under “A1 Engines” for the past 18 years, Arnett inadvertently allowed the business name registration to lapse.

In February this year, another entity re-registered the A1 Engines name, causing confusion in the market and the industry.

“Due to this unfortunate mishap, we have decided to rename to A1 Engines Motorsport” Arnett said in a statement issued to KartSportNews.

“Our logo has only required a small change to reflect this.”

A former National champion, Brett has an extensive knowledge of karting with over 30 years’ experience in the industry.

He’s built race and championship winning engines, set up karts and provided helpful advice and mentoring for countless karters.

Prior to Brett running the business, it was known as A1 Tuning and run by his father, Harold.

Arnett has been concerned by branding and communication appearing on social media that he has nothing to do with.

“If you see a similar logo but it does not contain the word ‘Motorsport’, please understand that this is not me” he emphasised.

New logo: ‘A1 Engines Motorsport’ is the only place you’ll get Brett Arnett and his 30 years of karting experience.
