Australians James Wharton and Griffin Peebles have both qualified strongly at WSK Promotions’ first event for the year, round 1 of the Champions Cup at Adria Raceway.
Wharton (Parolin/TM) qualified 10th (of 66 entries) in the OK class with a lap of 48.624s (pole went to Arvid Lindblad, KR/IAME, 48.102). He is in Group E for the heat races and at the time of writing has scored a 3rd, 7th and 8th.
Peebles (Kart Republic/IAME) qualified 4th (our of 116 entries!) in 60Mini with a 55.159s lap (pole went to Emanuele Olivieri, IPK/TM, 54.758). He is in Group D for the heat races and has carded a 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 2nd in his heats so far.
