Multiple Organisations Team Up for USA Kart GP

A group of sanctioning bodies in North America will work together to promote and run a “United States Karting Grand Prix” later this year.

The World Karting Association (WKA), TaG USA, TaG International, NCK Road Racing and AKTPA will run the event on both the sprint and road racing layouts at Utah Motorsports Campus across three days in July.

“Having a group of sanctioning bodies come together and work for the karter in today’s day and age is something that you do not see often” said WKA President Kevin Williams.

“Kevin Williams and I have I talked about doing something cool for the karter and having a major West Coast karting event,” explained Marty Casey of TaG USA.

“This event is all about the karter with every penny going back to the racer after expenses are covered. We want to be able to provide the North American karting community a premier event to look forward to.”

The GP will feature a vendor’s row for karting importers, dealers and distributors to “set up like the former KMI industry show that took place in Chicago, the vendors area will be open to any business in the sport of karting.”
