The Australian Kart Championship’s first visit to Emerald in Central Queensland has proven to be a Championship changing affair for several leading contenders. Here’s the Finals day report, photos and video
Early last decade, John Martin was one of Australia’s brightest young kart racers. He subsequently raced sports cars for years, including the Le Mans 24-Hour. This weekend the 33-year-old returns to the kart track, competing at the AKC round at Emerald.
Australian karters are regular starters at the annual SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas. SKUSA has now opened the ‘priority pre-entry’ program for this year’s event and announced the date entries open for everyone else.
Next month will see two 2-day ‘Title’ events run on consecutive weekends in Victoria – the Australasian C & D Grade Titles at Morwell, and the City of Melbourne Titles at Todd Road. Both events are open to KA licence holders nationwide.
