press release

After the good season 2014, Maranello Kart is heading full speed to season 2015 ready to get on track with renewed motivations to launch some new drivers on the International scene and confirm the winning quality of the material produced by the Italian firm.

The comment of Luca Iannaccone, manager of Maranello Kart, at the eve of the forthcoming season 2015: “Season 2014 went fairly well for our team, it was actually beyond the sweetest expectations. We won the Italian championship with Lorenzo Camplese and ended second in the CIK-FIA KZ2 World Championship. Moreover, we did good things in Las Vegas despite it being our first experience at the American race. We cared a lot about the most important race in the United States and we wanted to have a good visibility, as Las Vegas is a great showcase for the American market: things went well and Lorenzo got a good seventh place with a great performance for our colors. Marco Zanchetta also had a good season, even if he has been a bit unlucky due to some incidents. He ended second in the Italian Championship after fighting for the victory. Overall we all had a positive season.”

What are now the main novelties of Maranello for 2015?
“In the new year we got an important order to sell our chassis in Asia through an important reseller that will take care of distributing our products on the whole Asian territory, from China to Japan, Malaysia and Singapore, that are all important places for karting. Our reseller in turn will create some local teams to increase both the brand awareness on the territory and some new drivers with the aim to make them race also in Europe.”

How about the Racing Team?
“On the technical side, we confirmed our trust on Stefano Griggio, with whom we already had a two years long, very strict and successful collaboration. Regarding drivers, we made an agreement with Lorenzo Giannoni for 2015. He is a young driver that will represent us in KZ2 in all the most important international and national rounds, alongside him, we are currently defining Massimo Dante's programme. We still are considering other drivers in these very days.

"Moreover, we are now ready for a new project devised for the very young drivers of Mini Kart and KF3 with SG Race of Stefano Griggio. Alessandro Levratti will be in charge of his team to compete in Rotax at the Florida Winter Tour and in the Euro Challenge with the Canadian driver Fred Woodley, who has recently been fourth in the Grand Finals held in Velencia in DD2, while Enrico Bernardotto will be competing in KZ2 at the European and International CIK-FIA Championships and in other important events.”
