  • The official video of the 2014 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals went live overnight. Australia finished second in the Nationals Cup and Jordan Boys claimed third in DD2. 288 drivers from 58 countries competed in the 15th running of this famous event. Watch it below:


  • The new-to-Australia Vortex Rok is now available to order at Stable Karting. The organisation announced it have officially been appointed the Vortex Rok distributor exclusively for Canberra & Queanbeyan.   • Kerbrider is now the sole Australian Importer & Distributor of the Adidas Motorsport line of apparel and accessories. Kerbrider takes over from Perkins Motorsport "with a view to building on the customer service and supply already established in Australia". The karting line of boots and gloves is in stock and orders placed prior to 12 noon Monday December 22 will be Express Post dispatched same day, anywhere in Australia.   • BRP-Rotax has updated the main rotax-kart.com website to reflect the EVO MAX engines the company now distributes. In addition to the basic specs for each type of 125 MAX, the site includes updated Data Sheet, Spare Parts List and Installation & Operations Manual documents for the Evo series motors.   • Kartsport New Zealand has warned its competitors that tough new anti-doping rules come into force from January 1, 2015. NZ’s Sports Anti-Doping Rules have been updated to bring them into line with the 2015 World Anti-Doping Code. Those who intentionally cheat by using performance enhancing drugs or methods could face even longer bans and from all sport. “It’s vital that everyone involved in KartSport is committed to being drug free and this includes those supporting athletes like coaches and trainers" said chief executive of Drug Free Sport New Zealand, Graeme Steel. "There’s no level playing field if we don’t have everyone on board and following the rules.” Read more on the Kartsport NZ site HERE.

  • IKD reports that driver registrations for the 2015 Rotax Pro Tour have just hit 350 - and this is 5 weeks out from the opening round at Todd Road! If you're interested in racing Pro Tour and have yet to register, click HERE.


  • TKart has posted images about Zanardi Strakka Racing changing to Strakka Racing Bhai Tech. More information will be announced after the official presentation (eg: note the engine is blurred out in the photo). According to TKart, BhaiTech Technology is an Italian company specalized in technological research and development. More on TKart HERE.

  • CRG is using its top factory drivers to test and promote its Centurion rental kart. Davide Forè, Felice Tiene and new signing Paolo De Conto spent a day pushing the new machine to its limit on indoor and outdoor tracks. We hear that when the trio hit the two-story Vicenza Kart Indoor circuit, there was plenty of contact with the barries and each other; all in the name of testing the wrap-around anti-shock bumpers, or course. "Chassis-wise, it is quite close to a racing kart" De Conto said. "Engine (Honda GX270) is the real difference."

  • The Central Coast Speedway Kart Club has done a deal with Doug Mapperson's Precision Motorsport. CCSKC members will receive 10% off if they show their membership card when finalising a purchase. The offer is current and will run through the 2015 season.

  • The Karting Australia office will close midday this Friday and re-open Monday, January 5:


  • One of North America’s powerhouse operations, PSL Karting, has been named as the number one CRG distributor in the world for 2014. This is the second consecutive year that PSL Karting has claimed the honour.
