Leonardo Marseglia Wins The 43rd Industry Trophy

Edition number 43 of the Trofeo delle Industrie offered an incredible series of surprises due to the wet tarmac from rain-fall. Marseglia won 60 Mini and the absolute Trophy. An underweight Forè handed the victory to Engman in KZ2, Cucco claimed the KF win and e Reicher took out KF Junior.
Changeable weather conditions on the weekend of 9 November at South Garda Karting of Lonato – especially for Sunday's Prefinals and Finals – offered an incredible epilogue to the 43rd Trofeo delle Industrie: the race organized, as always, by Parma Karting has been very intense and tight.
A total of 167 racers made it to the start out of the 180 entered drivers in the 4 categories of the race inserted in the CIK-FIA international calendar: 60 Mini, KF, KF Junior and KZ2 were virtually packed and provided a great spectacle keeping interest high until the very end of the 43rd Trofeo delle Industrie.

MARSEGLIA ABSOLUTE WINNER
The absolute Trophy “Memorial Carlo Fabi”, that dates back to 1971, went to the very young driver from Puglia Leonardo Marseglia, on CRG-Lke run by team Gamoto. He won 60 Mini and set the best overall score of the weekend.
Leonardo Marseglia took the victory in 60 Mini after crossing the finish line in second position behind Baby Race's Nicola Abrusci on Tony Kart-Lke. The latter was then handed a 10 seconds time penalty due to a jump start and therefore was relegated to the 23rd final place of the classification after the race. The final result: Marseglia winner ahead of Jacopo Guidetti on Energy-Lke and Marzio Moretti on Tony Kart-Lke, as the latter won also the Prefinal ahead of Marseglia and Abrusci. The fourth place went to Skeed, on Top Kart-Parilla run by team Giugliano, who was the best after qualifying heats and quickest in qualifying. The final classification was eventually turned upside down compared to the initial indications.

ENGMAN TAKING OVER FROM FORE’ IN KZ2
Davide Forè twisted the final result of the KZ2 Final. After crossing the line as a dominator half a track earlier than his rivals, the five times world champion was 100g underweight (min weight 175kg) and was stripped from the chance of celebrating the second Trofeo delle Industrie in a row, that would have also been the third in his splendid career, after the success in 1989 and in 2013.
Forè had dominated the Final and heats after the 6th time in qualifying and the second in the Prefinal behind an excellent Massimo Dante on Maranello-Tm, but he did not grab the victory. The Final win was eventually claimed by the Swede Kevin Engman, on Zanardi-Parilla, who has always been among the quickest drivers: he set in fact the pole position, hit then a bit of bad luck in a heat and recouped from the 23rd place to P5 in Prefinal. The second position went to the Austrian David Detmers (Tony Kart-Vortex), while the third to Jonas Hansen (Kosmic-Vortex). Alberto Cavalieri (GP-Modena) and Massimo Dante (Maranello-Tm) ended their effort respectively in fourth and fifth place.

GREAT CUCCO IN KF
Stefano Cucco went winning ways on the wet tarmac in KF on Top Kart-Tm. Following the 9th place in the heats, where the favourite from England Maximilian Fewtrell (FA Alonso-Vortex) and the two Russians Nikita Troitckly and Alexey Korneev, both on Tony Kart-Vortex, have been the shining stars, Cucco put in a good comeback Prefinal, race the was stopped at lap 16 out of 20 due to the heavy rain. Cucco classified therefore second behind Korneev and proceeding Fewtrell. In the Final, the Briton was forced to the retirement due to an incident though, and Cucco got the lead halfway through and won from the two other protagonists of the category Egor Stupenkov (Tony Kart-Tm) and Yan Leon Shlom (Tony Kart-Vortex).

KF JUNIOR WON BY REICHER
Surprises have not gone missing also in KF Junior, as the Austrian racer Simon Reicher (FA Kart-Vortex) took the victory proceeding the Russian Alexey Smorodinov (Tony Kart-Tm) and the Swede Rasmus Lindh (Praga-Parilla), while Davide Lombardo (Exprit-Vortex) – who set the quickest time in qualifying and was on top after the heats – slipped down to P5 in the Prefinal and was relegated to P13 in the Final, behind team mate Sebastian Fernandez, who had been a protagonist in qualifying too. Reicher managed to recoup brilliantly in the Final from the fourteenth place of the Prefinal. Some other protagonists did not harvest what they had oped for in the Final, like the American Logan Sargeant (FA Kart-Vortex) of team Ricky Flynn, who was forced to the retirement in the Final after winning the Prefinal, and Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart-Vortex) relegated to P20 after the third position of the Prefinal.
